Why do we have laws? What are some of the different purposes that laws can serve?
We have laws to keep order in society and prevent chaos. Laws can serve for protecting all the citizens in the nation. Also, to ensure the public safety for all ages and all races as well.
Define the words law and policy. What are the differences between them? Law - Is an individual rule as part of such a system. Policy - is a contract of insurance. The differences between them is that a law if you brake the consequences are worse and more in depth. A policy is like a rule on a document.
What are the similarities and differences among these laws and policies?
A law is more formal and has to be passed by a legislative body such as the senate of your state or country. A policy is an informal rule made by...well anybody can make policies.
What are some of the purposes of these laws and policies?
Some purposes for laws is that
To protect you from outside aggression or harm.
To ensure that justice has been served.
To punish people who commit crimes.
To maintain social order.
Some purposes for policy is that
To ensure people will follow the policy
What values do you think are represented in these laws or policies. Explain. the values that are represented in these laws and policies is to regulate the ways of how society works in a well fashioned community.
Do any the laws you read about affect your daily life in school? yes, their are some laws i read about affect my daily life in school like the bullying preventing law. this law prevents the bullying in schools to make school safer for children.
Whose rights are being protected in these laws and/or policies? All citizens and everyone in the United States are being protected in these laws and/or policies.
What social problems or issues do these laws or policies address? Some social problems or issues that these laws or policies address is that debate over we should have them or not or if some laws or policies violate our rights.
What is the background for the law or policy's creation? Why do you think the law was made in the first place? the background for the law or policys creation was that situations happened back then where people did dangerous things and it was unsafe in the nation. So laws were created to regulate safety for the nation. the law was made in the first place to protect everyone in the nation like the U.S.
